PAC12 Basketball

Good game between Oregon and Utah. Utah comes out with the win. Oregon with a lot of work to do on the resume. Need to beat AZ this weekend to have a chance. Or wait til Colorado / Utah come to town at the end of the year.

LOL way too dramatic. Oregon is squarely on the bubble. It would be a nice resume but calling it a must win game in January is silly.

Tough loss tonight but Oregon remains tied for 1st and has the two teams they're tied with coming to Eugene next. Big weekend for sure.

I think it is a must win, because winning at McKale later in the year is a tall task. There just aren't a lot of opportunities for quality wins in league. At some point you're going to have to beat an ncaa tournament caliber team to get an at-large bid. You also could get that against Utah at the end of the year too. If you don't beat AZ and split the CU/Utah home series, I don't think that will be enough. And that is even assuming Oregon wins all the other games.

Knee jerk reaction. It's far too early to call any game a must win. Like I said, it's a big weekend for Oregon. A sweep would be huge for them. A split isn't ideal but it doesn't end their at large hopes.

I don't think it is. If Oregon doesn't beat AZ, and then @ AZ, Oregon won't have an opportunity for a quality win until early March. Oregon's schedule in February only provides an opportunity for bad losses.

3/4 court shot by Oregon to end the half! That was crazy and Oregon needed it down 7 instead of 10 at home.

Oregon didn't take care of the ball in the first half. 12 turnovers

Tommy Lloyd turning Caleb Love into an efficient player has to be the coaching job of a lifetime

WSU playing themselves into position. Got a tough February schedule though. Gonna need to win some road games.

If Utah doesn't come back and win this game against UW, and they don't beat AZ, I don't think they'll make it. They're a bad road team, and would still have road games at Colorado, UCLA, Oregon State and Oregon.

CU/Utah tied at the half. Huge game for tournament purposes.

Would have never guessed that Wazzu of all teams is what might save the P12 from being a potential 1 bid league. Utah is fading fast, and CU just doesn't have the quality wins.

Colorado has decent metrics. if they go 2-2 against @USC, @UCLA, Oregon and Utah, they are probably in.

if they can be top 35 in NET and finish with 1 Q1 win + 7 Q2 wins. that would probably be enough.

Their predictive metrics are decent, but resume metrics avg out to a 55 and their SoR is at 65 right now. The highest SoR to make it is 54 or 55 I believe. They also have just one win against a projected tournament team. Going 2-2, IMO, will only slide them further away from the field.

In typical Mick Cronin fashion he’s got UCLA peaking at the right time.

They massacred their resume in December and early Jan tho.

If they didn’t choke the game at Zona things would be a lot more interesting.

The league is a mess.

They're going to make the one bid thing a possible reality.

It's still a long shot because even if WSU falters, Arizona still has to win PAC12 tourney and that's not a slam dunk.

But it's on the table.
