Yes you do understand…probably more than most of us because you know recruiting.

Most of them have backgrounds that run contrary to that train of thought. And for the most part, it ain’t their fault. They’ve been told since they were in junior high (if not earlier) that they are God’s gift to football and never had to bide their time and develop.

Again, it ain’t their fault imho. The adults should have taught them such way earlier in their lives. Some have but they seem rare.
it's not the players..well most of the time it's not them.. but it's their families..

That’s why I said it wasn’t the kids fault.. at least the majority of the time. Family or others in their inner circle enable and even promote such. Hell, I’d say youth league, junior high and high school coaches can also be to blame. Many don’t have the balls to and/or understand that kids should be corrected sooner rather than later. JMO

You can learn just as much by someone who shows you what NOT to do
Yep. I knew it earlier but had it solidified in my brain in the 2nd grade. I watched my grade teacher lay my friend Tommy over her lap and whipped him for what seemed like an eternity. As the class sat in silence with eyes wide open, I asked my other friend Steven what Tommy had done to deserve such punishment. His response with terrified eyes was, "I don't know but I'm not going to do it." He didn't have to experience it to know what NOT to do. Neither did I.

Hard to take anything away from spring games. The vast majority (if not all) have not contact rule on QB's and they play a lot of 2nd and 3rd stringers.

I haven't even watched the Nebraska spring game.

It's just a scrimmage where the school can make a few beans from letting fans watch.

I don't know what to think about the Iowa team this year. I probably would rank them 6th or 7th in the B1G.

1. Michigan
2. Oregon
3. Ohio State
4. Penn State
5. Washington
6. Iowa or Wisconsin

I think they will finish Top 3 or 4 looking at their schedule. They don't play Michigan, Oregon, or Penn State. They host Washington and Wisconsin.

I don't see Lester turning Iowa's offense around this season. Probably won't until he gets a QB he recruits and develops. But Iowa should have an elite defense. They will be low scoring games again.

If you're posting rankings for right now, then sure, Michigan at #1. I won't argue with the "keep it until someone takes it" logic. If these are actual predictions, Michigan lost way too much to be ranked 1

They seem to be predictions, and comical ones at that.
