Don't really have a favorite brand, but I typically choose either pinot grigio or pinot noir. Cabernet sauvignon or shiraz for another red choice, or chardonnay for white.
The wife likes the more zinfandels or moscatos, if she ever drinks anything.
I got burned so many times with California wines that I just avoid them unless one is recommended to me. I am a bit concerned about the fires in Oregon because even if they don't reach the vinyards the smoke that is absorbed in the fruit is going to change the flavor profiles.
I've gotten some great everyday drinkers from the Trader Joes Italian wine section and most of them are under $10 a bottle.
